Could anyone help, i know how to work out my BMR but im stuck on how many calories to add for my lifestyle, I'm a carer in a dementia home for 48 hours a week, i don't go to the gym because my job is tiring enough! I'm 5'4" slim to medium build (I think) 135lbs and 39 years old.

When I set up my profile for this site I was aasked several questions...height, weight, gain or lose etc. Once I completed this, the "food diary" portioin of myfitnesspal had set a daily calorie limit such that I would reach my goal in X weeks based on losing or gaining X pounds/week.

I'm not certain how, I think settings and goals, anyway, you can change how fast you want to lose/gain or the percentages of carbs/proteins/fats too.

    Good luck.
