so I overheard my mothers bf calling her overweight the other day and she just took it bc knows "it's the truth" that really pissed me off so I'm even more determine to help her. I've had like 3 years old tumblr fitness knowledge but I'm no physician. she is in fact overweight, very anemic and has a physical job. she has no time to eat but in the evening, I tell her that when she eats all her daily calories in the space of 4 hours this will contribute to weight gain. she apparently has no time to eat between work hours so I suggested she at least drink water or I make her a green or fruit smoothie to take with her or even a protein sgake(not 100% about this though)
I'm at my wits end, how can I help her? she can only do minimal exercise so for her it's her work and walking to her workplace. how can I help her diet and bad intake time habits, I really want to help her, I really do but I'm stuck an very frustrated ):
I'm already very healthy and I follow the insanity programme with my sister, but I really want to help my mum
thanks

You can inspire her, but essentially she'll have to really want to take the step on her own. It's her desire and commitment that will make the difference. Unless she makes a move to do it, trying too hard to help will seem like it's being pushy.

She has to want it before it will happen. You could encourage and support her but the final choice is hers. Her overeating, not meal timing, is the cause of her weight gain.

You cannot help her. If she is overweight, she needs to want to lose the weight. If the boyfriend is insulting her and calling her names, she needs to want to lose the boyfriend. No one can help her unless she decides to help herself.0

Ehhhhh, no. You gain weight by consuming excess calories. When you eat them isn't important. In fact, many people here do IF, where they consume all of their calories in a small window of time and fast for the rest and they have no problem losing/maintaining weight.0 -

You can't.
If and when she is ready, she will choose to do it on her own. At that point you can only be supportive. If you are going to give her advice, please make sure it is accurate. (IE- eating all her calories in a 4 hour period will not make her gain weight)

Aww! Sounds like she is really beat down (low self-esteem). The first weight she should lose is the boyfriend.0
