Houmous is my new fave food - served with carrot sticks and/or broccoli florets or mange tout or sugar snap peas or baby corn etc but is it bad or good? Currently trying both home-made and shop bought varieties. Homemade doesn't have any added oil in it just the liquid from the chick peas.
And is it protein? Carbs?
I feel really daft for having to ask this :-)

There is no "bad" or "good" food.
Some foods are more calorie DENSE than others (example: peanut butter, pop-tarts, full fat ice cream) foods, but that's it. Eat however much hummus you want as long as you stay within your caloric goal.0 -
I love hummus, it has good protein and fats in it (depending on how it's made). I always keep in mind a recommended serving is 2 Tablespoons and don't have that more than once a day. All in moderation and stay within your limits.
