Hey!
So i just got my HRM one week ago and i'm very happy with it... however i would like to know how to set my "in zone" heart rates according to my age etc...
I'm actually using the default one which is 130-170.
Thanks!

You should have input your age, height, and weight when you set up the HRM. This automatically gives you a target zone, based on those stats. You don't have to manually put it in. If you didn't put that information in, you shouldn't be trusting the calorie readings it's giving you anyways (if it is; I hear not all do) since it's all relative based on that information.
If you still think you need to change it though, what HRM are you using? Then someone can guide you better.0 -
Oh okay i didnt knew it was setted automatically, i use the Polar FT4 and no, i just was curious, i feel the targets that the HRM setted for me are okay, i dont feel like under or over training when i'm in the zone0

As the only way to accurately determine MaxHR is with a treadmill stress test forget zones (most HRMs using something like 220-your age which is not very accurate). It's far more useful to go by perceived effort (most of the time people use HRM zones they're not working anywhere close to the intensity they should be at)0
