fitbit activity questions

Should I log my activity - I do T25 daily - in both fitbit AND MYF or is that double dipping?

thanks!

When you log an activity, it will ask you what time you started and how long the activity lasted. Then Fitbit adjusts for that and only adds calories for the rest of the day, when you weren't doing that activity.

I hope that make sense. :)

Add in either, but only add in one of them!

If your fitbit is synced with your MFP then I would add to MFP, it will transfer the activity to your fitbit calculation.

If you fitbit is synced to MFP, you should only add it to MFP.
  • Only add to MFP, but make sure you start the timer on your fitbit before you start your workout.

If you don't start the timer, then whatever calories you input that you burned during your activity into MFP will count as negative calories toward your day. In other words, it will think that any and all calories you burned during that time need to be subtracted.

If you start the timer, it adjusts accordingly and correctly.

It's super frustrating to start exercising and put in your massive calorie burn, only to have fitbit say that all your exercise was +200, even though it was at 0 before you even started working out.
