Hey, welcome to the world of weight training! Tuna and cottage cheese with some cucumber, tomato and celery chopped up into it is a killer high protein lunch and really easy to make! In fact cottage cheese is a really good way in general to get more protein in. Feel free to have a look through my diary to get some ideas :)

I make lean hamburgers 93/7.. assortment of steaks with porte mushrooms an green beans, salmon with lemon garnishes and jasmine rice ,pork chops w/ Broccoli an cauliflower, ground turkey chili,Tuna with spinach salad.

Baked chicken breast with a little bit of sweet baby rays !! jasmine rice w/ carrots peas is a pretty common meal.. If I need a bit more fat I will make baked quarters instead.

I don't weight train, but I do struggle with my protein and so I work on a lot of high protein meals myself, as I love to prepare new foods :)

    Some of my regulars are:

    - Chili with extra lean (95% fat-free) beef (with beans.. They add even more protein!)
    - Tuna salad (as in a regular salad mixed with tuna in brine.. add a bit of basil, garlic, lemon juice and salt and it's delicious with no dressing at all!)
    - Homemade hamburgers (again, I use lean beef)... My husband thinks my burgers are better than any burger joint we've ever been to
    - Chicken salad, using "lighter than light" mayo, if you don't hate the taste of the stuff  You can use Greek yogurt instead to really pack a protein punch!
    - I also make a lot of "easy meals" where I just put some slices of turkey breast and cheese in bread and make a sub... Depending on how much turkey breast you use, you can make a pretty high protein sandwich :)
    - I love making lentils, white kidney beans (baked beans style... I make my own because I don't like the sweetness of the store bought ones), chickpea salad (chickpeas, tomatoes, coriander, and a bit of salt - yum!), and all kinds of other legumes  They are low cost and have a good amount of protein in them!

    Hope this helps! :flowerforyou:

Chicken thighs are delicious and hard to screw up. I've breaded and fried, turned into pseudo-chinese, and make a mean marsala with them.

USDA says a chicken thigh is 135 calories and 14g of protein. You don't get a lot better calorie:protein ratios than that.

    Snack ideas for youuu..

Greek yogurt is an excellent one, I like Fage 0% plain with a little bit of protein powder and blueberries mixed in (if you like granola Bear Naked has a dark chocolate or a honey oats with 10g of protein per serving).

Edamame is a great one. I love egg drop soup for the calories vs protein but it's a bit high in sodium. Very filling though

Chicken hands down is the best protein vs calories.

crunched for time, Quest bars are about 180 calories for 21g of protein and quite a bit of fiber
Sometimes, to indulge I go to Starbucks. Skinny venti mocha lattes are 190 calories for like 18g of protein lol
