Do you weigh your pizza???

Unless it is a daily menu item, I would just estimate it by slice. And if I am worried I will just do some extra cardio.0

That's what im thinkin.....Also....have you tried to do cardio after eating pizza? I usually eat 3-4 pieces and I've tried to do late night cardio or walk after (3 hrs or so) and still get MASSIVE cramps0 -
yes i pull the different parts apart and weight them individually
What saddens me is that there might be someone out there who would take this seriously and actually do such a horrible thing to a slice of pizza.0 -
I pretty much always order pizza from a local pizza joint, so I really have no idea how many calories I'm eating anyway. I just pick a similar entry in the database and log it that way. I eat 3 slices of pizza for dinner about once a week, and it hasn't affected my weight loss yet.
Even if I ordered chain pizza or made a frozen one, I probably wouldn't weigh it unless it became a more frequent meal. I do tend to weigh almost everything else that I prepare at home, so I guess that helps even things out a little.0 -

The small pizza joints always have the best pizza and such!!!! Downfall is the lack of nutritional info0 -
I officially don't care! Instead the hubby and I will just go for a walk to even some of it out0

I don't weigh the slices. I figure it all balances out over time. When I make my own, I do weigh all the ingredients when I am cooking it, so I can be reasonably sure of the calories in the whole pie.0
-
I only eat homemade pizza, so yes, I weigh that but do it an ingredient at a time as I'm building it. That said, I have yet to take my scale and/or measuring cups to a restaurant, so weighing things "on the go" seems like overkill to me. There are times it's appropriate to estimate as well as possible and let it go at that.0

I weigh it if I'm home.0

Only after I digest it.0

Just to play devils advocate here..... If you aren't weigning the individual ingredients I dont think it will make that big of a difference. For instance is that extra weight from bread or cheese? Maybe it was heavy on the veggies and light on the meat.
Without knowing where the discrepancy is just weighing it isn't necessairly going to give you the right calorie count.
This. There is no reason to weigh it. Find the calories for the exact total pizza and divide by slices. If you see an above average quantity of toppings (extra generous on the pepperoni?), log that separately.0 -

if you're stopping to weigh your pizza...
...then the terrorists have won. :frown:0 -
I've only had pizza once since I started weighing my food, and didn't think to then, but if you have the calories per gram, why not? You might get lucky, like you did....or find out you were about to eat more that you thought.
I weighed tortilla chips out of curiosity once and found that a serving by gram was a few more chips than the "about X chips" on the bag. So you bet I've been weighing those since. When you can only squeeze in 9 or 10 chips, you want that extra.0 -

I do the same. Sometimes I think that the pizza I'm eating probably has more calories than the entry I use in the log. I also used to eat 3-5 slices! Now with MFP, I eat 1-2. Sigh.0 -
No.
As another poster said I just find something that's fairly close to what I had and log that. I'm sure most of the time the calories are way off (higher) because I get mine from a local place and it's a really thin crust.
Now I want pizza.:grumble:0 -
I weigh pretty much everything as I don't trust the packaging after so many discoveries that a packet contains a different amount than stated, I haven't actually had any pizza since joining MFP but I would definitely weigh it.0

Weigh me *kitten*0

Working out slices isnt an issue for me, because if I order a pizza I eat the whole thing
If for some weird reason I didnt I would just go by slice.0 -
Its always in my mouth too quick to even think of it.:ohwell:0
-
just eat the whole thing then there's no discrepancies...
it's the only way0 -
I make my own pizza actually,
Weight the whole dough that Im using and build my recipe up with that. (and eat the whole damn pizza lol)0 -
No. The only time I eat pizza is at a restaurant, and I certainly don't bring my food scale to restaurants with me.0

I just had an idea, what if you just eat the whole pizza...then you don't have to weight each slice right?
Order early for lunch have two slices.
At snack time another.
Dinner time Three more.
Late Night snack two more.
That's 8 slices...how many are in a whole pizza?0 -

What about pizza for breakfast? Order it the night before! (Today I had one cup of Cheerios and 1/2 cup of milk and it just did not satisfy Now...a slice of pizza sounds so much better! God, I gotta leave this thread alone...)0 -
