Hi I'm Anthony, my goal in this site is to make some friends who have the same goals as me which is to lose weight and feel good about who they are.

A little about me, I am 22 and currently weigh around 215. Way back when I used to 230lbs but lost a lot and was 165lbs, fit and sexy i liked to call it, but when I went to college I gained all my weight back. Yikes I gotten heavy and to be honest I hate it. The problem was I haven't been motivated for a long time and didn't care. But now I think I'm getting back into it.

So I understand everybody is different and lose weight differently so my goals are going to be different then others and how I go about achieving them. My goal is to lose 30lbs in 30 days, I know its probably unhealthy and most say stupid to achieve this. Unfortunately my mind is made up and I am finnaly beyond determined to achieve my goal, or at least get as close as possible :p.

Thank you for reading and I hope we can help each other out as much as possible.

    Hello,

My name is Scott. I'm 38yrs old. Married with 2 kids. When I was 27 I weighted 309 lbs. I lost 100lbs in 3 months. I did this simply by eating whatever I wanted for breakfast every day, however i loved peanut butter on whole wheat toast with 1 cup of orange juice with pulp. My lunch was subway 5 days a week. I would order any footlong sandwich I wanted. But I only ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Breakfast was eaten at 7AM every day, lunch was at Noon and dinner was at 5pm. Weekends was a free for all. I ate what I wanted when I wanted, as long as it was in moderation. At 6pm I would enter the Gym, did treadmill for 1 hour. Weights for about 20 minutes then depending on how I felt, I would either do something else and or go home. The hardest part was not eating after dinner. I would be soo hungry. However I found going to bed by 9pm helped me through it the most.

Well now I'm 39 and I'm trying it again. This time its soo much harder. I have type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and nerve damage in my feet and thighs. I suffer from chronic back pain as well...Here is the kicker, all of my ailments are from being over weight.
I start walking and 20 minutes in my feet feel like i'm walking on glass. The weight I bare is my demon, however I have found that with anger, and focus I can make it through this. Look bro, here is the facts... You are over weight, and only you have to carry it around and deal with the side effects that come with it. So never let anyone else tell you what to do and how to do it. So like you, I am going to lose the weight the way I want, and then I will spend the rest of my life keeping it off and living healthy. So don't stop, don't change anything your doing. No one else is going to help you withthe weight. It's your demon and you have to exercise it... Good luck!!!

    Thanks,
    Scott A.Draper

I don't understand the rush. As everyone always says, you didn't put on the weight in 30 days, you won't lose it in 30 days either. Take it slow and steady. With only 50 lbs to lose I would aim for 1 lb to 1.5 lb loss/week. Eat at a proper deficit, with proper nutrition, and move more. It will be much more sustainable in the long run and you won't mess up your metabolism.

Here are a few really good posts to read, I suggest you follow advice from people who have succeeded in weight loss and have kept it off.
