Hello everyone!!
Im kind of new to MFP. I started by logging everything i ate for about 4 weeks while i did the 30 Day Shred. I felt really good and only lost about 2 lbs. Then i got lazy... I stopped logging my food after finishing the program.
I still go to the gym a minimum of 5 days a week. One day i run 5k then do 20 min on the elliptical. The next day i do 5k on the elliptical and 20 min running. I also throw about 15 min of abs/squats/arms/etc.
THE SCALE ISNT MOVING AT ALL!!!!! HELP!!!
My eating habits are definitely not recommendable. I eat a lot of breads and pastas (and cheese!). I have decided to start logging my food again. And im thinking about starting ripped in 30 and cutting my cardio down to 30 min a day.
Any Suggestions? Any Suggestions on meal plans (that aren't are high tech as the ripped in 30 plan?)
THANKS !!!

As old saying goes - you can't out exercise a bad diet.
You need to start logging your foods gain. There is no magic meal plan, just eat what you like but in the right mix to keep you full (protein, healthy fats, carbs) and within your daily calorie goal (or as close as you can manage).
Per the ticker on your profile, you only have 7 pounds to lose. A healthy, realistic rate of loss for you is 1/2 a pound per week so your 2 pounds in 4 weeks was right on target.
Also it might be a good idea for you to take body measurements and take progress pics. With being as close to goal as you are, the scale isn't always going to be the best indication of success. Meaning the scale might not show a loss but you could be losing inches.
Good luck!0 -

I think you know the answer to your question but here's my two cents:
First what do you think would happen if you mixed gas with water and put it in your car's gas tank? Yes your car will still run but not to it's optimum level. (what's your point) Well I'm glad you asked! )
You have to fuel your body with the food that's intended for it. Not sugary, high sodium, highly processed, fatty foods. Clean up your food intake and I bet you'll see crazy results.
Second, even with your eating habits I bet your making at least small gains. Invest in a tape measure and measure yourself(Ie arm, waist, hips etc) Your weight may not change much but your body proportions may shift.0 -
Thank you guys so much for the quick replies!
I did take some measurements but only after completing the 30 Day Shred. I had forgotten about them until you mentioned them; i will definitely bring them to the front of my mind again and start using that as more of a reference point than the scale. Im thinking about trying to keep a journal (or blog) for some more motivation.
I will try to be more realistic too. I don't have a lot to loose, i would like to tone and just feel overall better.
Thanks for the replies though!
I migh try and check out some boards about Ripped in 30 too.0
