Healthy-Food-Cooked-In-Bulk (biz idea / feedback wanted)

**Cliff's:** I've been discussing an idea for a healthy-food-cooked-and-delivered-in-bulk business idea and want feedback from other healthy-eating folk. It's the service I always wished existed; trying to assess whether there's a market for it, or whether I'm more of an outlier than I think.
**TLDR:** I like eating healthy and cooking for myself. In an effort to minimize cooking / cleaning time, I'll typically cook in bulk once / week and put it all in tupperware in my fridge. For example, on a typical cooking day I might prepare 10 chicken breasts, 8 baked yams, a handful of steaks and pork chops, several cups of rice (back when I ate rice), 2 dozen hard boiled eggs, etc. The problem is that **I hate that the above often takes up nearly an entire day** (between shopping, cooking, cleanup, etc). I always wished there were somoene I could just pay to prepare it all for me.
I know there are dozens of "healthy meal preparation / delivery" services available, BUT they don't really appeal to me for 2 main reasons:
1) They're pricey (for the cals they provide)...most of those places charge $11 - $15 / meal (typically 325 - 550 cals / meal).
2) I not only enjoy eating healthy, but I'm pretty militant about how my food is prepared (esp when I'm in cutting mode), and I was never sure how much I could trust those services to only put into their meals what they claimed. I derive quite a lot of peace of mind when I know exactly what IS and is NOT going into my food (and how much of it).
What I always wished existed is a service that simply did the dirty work of preparing healthy foods as simply as possible, in bulk, and delivering it to me. I've even gone so far as to pay one of my sister's friends who was temporarily out of work to do my cooking for me...which worked reasonably well, but then I got to thinking that perhaps it's something that enough others would be interested in to make it a viable thing on a commercial basis.
So in a nutshell I'm trying to assess whether there's an actual market for this, or whether I'm just an outlier. I figured this was as relevant a place as any to solicit opinions -- be brutally honest if you think it's dumb, I can handle it. Just to anticipate what I think are 2 relevant criticisms:
(i) **Lack of Variety.** Some folks I've talked to turn up their nose at the idea of having hard boiled eggs or grilled chicken breast every day. I get it. But I'd venture to say that at least 50% of the food I've put into my body over the past 5 years has been made up of the same...I dunno, 20 foods? I'm personally really not that turned off by eating the same thing, and in the 15+ years that I've taken fitness and nutrition somewhat seriously, I get the sense that there's plenty of folk who feel the same way. So yeah: if you're someone who needs to eat your way through the entirety of the animal and plant world, this service probably isn't for you. But I'm gambling on there being enough others like me.
(ii) **Taste**(?) It's true that the service I'm contemplating simply isn't going to compete with other meal delivery services on taste. The food I want to prepare is very simple (e.g. meats / fish rubbed with minimal amt of oil and salt/pepper; baked yams; steamed vegetables; hard boiled eggs, etc.) And that's not a knock against those services: they do a good job and there's a market of people who demand that their meals be succulent and provide enjoyment. Personally, I eat healthy for fuel / function.
Lastly, while the above two factors will indeed be drawbacks for some people, **PRICE** is a selling point here too. With these meal-delivery services, I'd spend approx $40 to get 3 meals (total of ~1,500 cals)....when I'm bulking that's not even half of my daily intake. The prices that I've sketched out for my services are dramatically lower (e.g. 2 grilled chicken breasts, a baked yam, and veg side would run you around $7.) You're merely paying a modest premium to have someone else shop / cook / clean for you.
Anyway, this is an idea that I've literally come back to several times since I first sketched it out a few years ago, because I can't shake the sense that there's a market for it beyond just me. So I'm trying to solicit feedback from healthy-eating folk. Am I overestimating the number of people who like to cook their food in bulk? Am I just an outlier in not really caring about the lack of variety? How do you feel about the existing meal prep/delivery services...are they too expensive for you, and would you prefer food cooked super-simply even if it wasn't as succulent (remembering that it would also be nearly half the price)? Thanks for reading, and looking forward to feedback, no matter how constructive.

I live in St. Louis and there is a place called Time for Dinner. It is similar to what you are talking about. They offer certain recipes that can you prepare there in their store, the recipes change monthly. The calories are all counted and you know that nothing else is added because you make it yourself. They provide the recipe, the ingredients, the storage containers/or foil cooking pans, all of the measuring spoons, ect. The staff does all of the clean up. You prepare there, take home and freeze and cook at your convenience. Some things are healthier than others but calories are stated when you sign up for the month. They also have the meals premade that you can pick up in their own freezer. I am not sure how prices compare to other things but you can google it to check it out. They are super nice and would probably answer any questions you had if you contacted them.0
