Hi all,
I'm new to this and I'm so needing to loose weight. Had my girl 3 years ago and my weight has just kept creeping up. I have got to the stage that it is really affecting what I do. I hardly want to go to the shops in case people see me. I feel like I always look such a mess. I have my clothes in my wardrobe which are 4 years old and they are a uk size 10/12.
Just wondering what the best way to get started is and also if anyone would like to buddy up to try to loose together?
Xx

Hi, I'm new too and would be happy to stay in contact--to try to help keep each other motivated (and honest--for me--lol--I am the queen of self-delusion when it comes to counting calories).
My weight has crept on too, since I married my wonderful husband (who thinks I look beautiful now). I need to lose 40 lbs. My stats are not so different from your own. I'm 5'8" and weight 196. I'm hoping to lose 40 lbs--maybe more--but my first goal is those 40.
I've been tracking my calories (faithfully AND honestly) for the past week--since I started at a weight loss center. I'm hoping when I weigh myself on Monday that I will see a motivating loss.
Welcome to you--and to me too!My name is Melinda. It's wonderful to meet you!

Hello,
I just started on Tuesday of this week and need to lose 40 lbs also. I'm only 5'2" so of course I look HUGE. I would also like to stay in touch and provide encouragement on our weight loss journey. I've been entering my food and exercise religiously for 5 days now and have lost 4 lbs already. I've also been drinking alot of water, which helps tremendously. I know I shouldn't, but I weigh myself every day because I'm excited that I'm losing quickly. The food tracking really does work if you do it every day.
Welcome to both of you. My nickname is Tiger.0
