Meeting Dietary Fat Goal

I was wondering if it's harmful to eat less than my daily recommendation of fat. What will this do in the long run if I consistently eat a low amount of fat but meet my daily requirement for calorie intake? Thanks!

I think the less fat the better. As long as you are eating your calories.
You go girl. I think that means that you are eating healthy stuff like fruits and veggies. Great job.

I don't eat all the time the fat allowed by the database. I don't plan it that way, it just happens. The exception is when I eat a steak or a meal with beef as an ingredient. Most of the time I am over the protein and fiber, and below carbs, sodium, and fat, and I lost my extra weight.
As long as you are not too low on good fats (unsaturated), and that you incorporate some avocados, nuts, and olive oil in your diet, you should be fine.0 -
you need some fats in your diet of course, and should choose healthy fats (nuts, avacado, olive oil, etc) over other types of fats. Some vitamis are fat-soluble. That said, i am ALWAYS under on my fats and actually removed it from my diary because i decided "fat wasn't an issue for me" but am thinking about adding it back on for a while as i make some transitions in my diet (upping by protein while i am training harder than i previously did).
Sorry that doesnt really help you, does it? I am not sure what the minimum ratio for (healthy) fat intake should be.... would love to hear though!0 -
Thanks for the responses everyone! Very helpful0
