I'm sure this has been on here before, but for those of us who are restarting the program or starting it for the first time, I thought I would let everyone know about these really great podcasts I found. They're totally free, and totally awesome.

Does anybody else have any cool podcasts they want to share?

    fab idea! bump
  • thanks - I am new to the site. My sister wants me to run a 5k with her and I am not much of a runner. I will give this a whirl.

livestrong.com is a pretty good site with many tools.

It has information about everything - but more importantly the site will identify loops for you to run. Loops are created by other runners.

The link to the loops is:

    Good Running :-)

I'm using the C25K free app on my Android phone (they have it for iPhone as well). Basically, it functions as a timer for the walk and run portions and sounds a chime when it's time to switch from one to the other.

As I am just restarting running, I'm not using music yet. I'd try to run way too fast if I were listening to music! For now, I'm listening to an unrelated podcast and have the C25K app running over it.

The one I'm using is called C25K Lite in the Android Market. There is a paid version as well that will incorporate your own music.

shamrock, I think that you can find Podcasts that basically do the same thing as the droid app.
I do use the android app as well and run it at the same time as my cardiotrainer app so my route and calories are tracked. I have an Incredible and so far have had no problems with C25K, CardioTrainer, GPS and my music all running at the same time.

We have a couple different MP3 players, I just need to sit down and figure out how to get podcasts on them. I've looked at a couple sites, just have to figure out which one I like best. I think music will be good for me. I have a phone that plays music, I wonder if I could put something on it...I have no clue on this stuff.
