So I've had this great attitude this past week about working out and eating right. I've workout for 4 days straight and eaten within my exercise calories to maybe a bit more and I GAINED 2.5lbs????
See these 2.5lbs are the reason I just give up all together after putting so much into it, what's the point??
I measured myself and yes I did lose a couple of 1.5 inches in my waist and hips but again gained 1 inch on my bust! WTF!!!

It's going to take time. Hang with it. More than likely, you body just added a touch of muscle from the exercising. That will help you in the long term, but in the short term, it looks like a problem on the scale. Weight loss is a long term thing. You'll have weeks like this and other weeks where it seems like the Gods are smiling on you and you drop 3 pounds just by rolling out of bed in the morning.
It will work, just hang with it.0 -
Of course you know that muscle weighs more than fat, so maybe that is the reason. Losing inches is good and that should lead to the weight coming off also. One week is too soon to give up.
And, are you drinking your water? That makes a difference.
Hang in there - I just went through a week where I gained back 3 pounds but they came back off quickly when I stuck to the regimen.

Weeks like those are annoying but don't give up. Keep doing what you're doing and the scales will catch up. There's a whole list of reasons for the scales not matching your effort, you'll see them listed here all the time but eventually the scales have no choice but to catch up!
Stay focused, give your body a chance to catch up with your new regime

I feel your frustration. Here's some advise I was given....first stop weighing yourself, if you feel good, and know that you are doing the right thing...stop caring what the scale says. Weigh yourself once a week. Second, during the summer you will retain more water than usual...if you religiously drink a little more than your 8 glasses a day you'll notice a loss of up to 2 lbs. So you didn't actually gain weight you're retaining water. In order to gain 2 pounds you'd have had to consume 7,000 calories over what you're using...is that likely? Finally, don't drink diet soda it bloats you and can retain more water.
So hang in there.....don't let this get the better of you...give yourself a mantra about how beautiful you are, how special you are, how important you are....God didn't create no junk.....no matter your size. If you feel good, you're doing the right thing.
Blessings,
MA
