Returning after a year of FAD diets. Looking for friends!

So six fad diets and 40 more pounds later, I am returning to focus on just calories and exercise. Jenny Craig sucked, HCG SUPER SUCKED, Medifast was like eating powder and Nutrisystem was like eating a science experiment gone wrong! Anyway, I am just doing it the ole fashioned way and looking for friends. I have about 120 lbs to lose

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal0 -

I agree with you on all that! Though, counting calories is not as important and counting quality of food. If you focus on increasing veggies, eating whole grains, limiting meat and dairy, and working on staying away from processed foods you'll be surprise how much you have to eat to get all your calories in. What are you going to be doing for exercise? Do you have anyone you're doing it with?
I started with 130 lbs to lose, now I have about 90 more to go. I'm getting there!0 -

Good job all of you for starting over! The links posted above are EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!! Here is the thing, it is going to take time.....it will not happen fast......but.........YOU CAN GET IT DONE!!!! One meal, one day, one week, one month, one year at a time. If you fall down, get back up, again and again and again as many times as it takes. It does not matter how many times you fall, it only matters that you get up one more time. Good luck to you all.0
