When did you see it???

I've lost 30 lbs and I don't see any difference when I look in the mirror. How long before you could see it???

Compare your pictures, take measurements. I noticed when my clothes started falling off. I guess about 30lbs or so.

The only time I really see a difference is when I look at side by side photos. Looking in the mirror all I still see is my flaws. The joys of having a distorted view of one's self.

Day-to-day, we change slowly so it is mostly unnoticeable, but over time it is very apparent. Measurements and the way your clothes fit are good signs as are reactions from people who have not seen you for a while. Congratulations on 30 pounds lost, that's fantastic!!!

I've lost 20kg (45poundsish) over all and I don't often think I look any different in the mirror, I take pictures and compare because that's the only way I know there would be a difference as I can see it directly in front of me!

I suggest you do that, but it depends also on how much you have to lose on how different you will look!

I have almost hit my goal, and still don't see much of a change. This is even though I've lost 3 dress sizes and feel much better. You are your own worst critic - You're doing great. Take lots of pictures and measurements - they'll keep you sane. :)

In all honesty, I'm approximately 34# down and I STILL do not see a difference in the mirror or in pictures. I DO see it* and feel it in the way my clothes fit, though. I would of course like to be able to see the changes in the mirror and in pictures, but I'm good (at the moment) with seeing it* and feeling it in the way my clothes fit.

    * My clothes look visibly looser on me, but my face and body themselves don't look thinner (if that makes any bloody sense).

lol... Exactly! I get it. It's more like your clothes got stretched out, not that you look smaller.

Exactly. It's bizarre. I'm kind of beginning to think there are some miniature troublemakers going through my closet every night to swap my existing clothes out for larger sized ones. *grumble*

I would say around 20 lbs, with a goal of 45lbs to lose, so about halfway. That was also how long it took to go down a clothing size for me. It can be very frustrating. Just hang in there.
