Peruse bodybuilding.com if you have time to read their articles. They have tons of expert advice on the subject. How much weight training do you do?

Thanks a lot for this great suggestion.
I have lost quite a bit of weight and would love to pare down my body fat % too without losing any more weight, this is timely.

    The basics are very simple:
    Eat at maintenance calories.
Get adequate protein while having a balanced macro intake.
Do a good weight training routine.
    Be patient.

Your results will be very personal to you, if you are new or returning to weight training you may well make good progress at a decent rate for many months to a year.
If you stall out you might want to consider cut/bulk cycles.

(PS - How are you measuring body fat? It's easy to be miles out depending on method chosen and how it's applied.)

I really enjoyed the article and it provided meaningful information well beyond the worthless post "let me Google that for you". We all can search here but I am interested with what others have found works well. My desire is a little different then most. I carried a beer gut most of my adult life and after shedding 50 lbs I am just now starting to see abs. I want to lose fat, my Aria scale says I am 18% FWIW, but I don't want to "Bulk Up". After buying all new clothes several times I don't need to do it again. I want to cut some fat and be fit. I run, work abs almost daily and do a mild Nautilus routine three days a week. The lifting strategy is for fitness and hopefully a little tone. Also trying to get out of the gym fast because it is in the middle of my morning run. After reading it seems that getting "Big" and losing fat are not possible at the same time. Because getting big is not the goal, I plan on trying to continue my workouts and add a little more protein calories, reduce some wine (alcohol) calories and eat as clean as I can. I am into maintenance for one week now and doing well till I went nuts on hot wings and ribs last night.
