So, I work third shift and I need late night chat buddies. It can get boring really fast some nights. Anyone else a third shifter or night owl?

I'm a night owl who tries not to eat before going to bed.0

My next meal is at 3:30am, and I won't be in bed until 8 am.0 -
Really have to love "lunch" at 3am. Work the 3rd shift 4 nights a week...the other 3 nights I screw the routine up so I am always trying to catch up!0

I work three nights a week. So I recover on Thursday and Friday i'm back on first shift schedule. I've gotten used to it over the past several months. Despite the stigma of gaining weight on this shift, I've actually lost 30 lbs while on it. Its all about portion control.0 -
I work the night shift if anyone would like to chat.0

Yeah, it's a rough schedule to be on. I have been on this schedule for over a year and am still battling with the weight...but truth be told, I don't think it is the shift....but the lack of effort on my part when I am awake. Trying to hit the gym 5 days a week....some weeks are better than others!0

Great job on the weight loss.
I got fat because my dad owned a bar. When he came home at 2 a.m., I'd wake up and have dinner with him.
I just completed a sleep study on weight loss. The results won't be publish for a while but it's based on night owls having more trouble with weight.0 -

Thank you. I work third shift and losing weight on this shift hasn't been that hard honestly. Meal prep, eat healthy snacks (if needed) and drink lots of water. It's mostly mental.0 -
OP you do realise there are people from other parts of the world on here and it's daytime here when it's night time there! Think you forgot we exist :grumble: :laugh:0

It's almost like if people are talking right now, but I can hardly hear them? I'm not sure they exist?
I've heard of these magical places called Australia and Canadia and Narnia...maybe they are from there, like close to China.0 -
By the way if any of you late shifters and Narnian's feel like reading I posted an NSV thread in this topic.0

Night shift worker here...it is hard to stay on track when there are very limited food options. I have 4 kiddos and it is sometimes hard for me to get all my snacks and meals planned and packed before I head out the door.0
