I started my mfp journey in sept 2013 and can't believe I have hit my original 150lb target! I now feel that I want to lose another
17lb before I start maintaining. I feel great :-)

    AWESOME!!!

I hit goal and then lowered it because I wasn't done. But I wish I would have tried maintanence for a few months and let myself enjoy the mile stone. I got caught up in it and got frustrated. I didn't gain back all of the weight or anything, but I struggled a lot. I ended up maintaining for about a year, even though I was still trying to lose. It was frustrating. I finally gave myself a bit of a break, backed off for a bit and relaxed. After a few months of that I was ready to refocus and have dropped another 11 pounds in the last 2 months.

I'm not saying to stop if you aren't done, but enjoy the moment. DOn't rush to the next milestone if you need a bit of a break.

You may be very different, but I just wanted to share my experience.
