and I ONLY have 334 calories left for my day. Granted, I didnt exercise yet, so that will give me back 160 this afternoon, BUT i may not have the time to exercise today. Cant eat much and be satisfied on 334 calories. Maybe everyone is right, and I need to adjust my goal. Im gonna check that out.

How many calories is it allowing you to eat?

Unless you had a super large breakfast, it sounds like you're not allowing yourself enough calories for the day. You should never go below 1200, and even more if you're working out.

try a salad with 2 oz of chicken and hard boiled egg egg whites only. you may still have enough left over for a piece of whole wheat toast or triscut crackers and string cheese. they get to be pretty filling
  • pretzels really fill me up. most individual bags are like 200 calories only but im full for hours

Make a big pot of the wieght watchers veggie soup recipe. It's only 60 calories a cup and very satisfying. Not to mention healthy! :) Good luck!

    Ingredients:
    2/3 cup sliced carrot
    1/2 cup diced onion
    2 garlic cloves
3 cups broth (beef, chicken, or vegetable)
1 1/2 cup diced green cabbage
    1/2 cup green beans
    1 tablespoon tomato paste
    1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup diced zucchini

    Directions:

In a large saucepan, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, saute carrot, onion, and garlic over low heat until softened, about 5 minutes. Add broth, cabbage, beans, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and salt; bring to a boil.

Lower heat and simmer, covered about 15 minutes or until beans are tender. Stir in zucchini and heat 3-4 minutes. Serve hot.

i had a look through your diary and would like to offer some advise...

i'd be careful with the coffee creamer (substitute with milk or use less, that's a lot of calories right there!) also, i saw a lot of processed food and not a whole lot of fruits and veggies. maybe for bkfst start having an english muffin and an egg, only 170 cals in that and dump skim milk in your coffee during the weight loss period and a little bit of the creamer you like to allow you to EAT more calories (we all know eating is more fun than drinking... unless it's beer!) lol

for dinner try making baked/grilled chicken, salads, sweet potatoes, sandwiches instead of hot dogs/fettuccini as those are loaded with calories and in my opinion not all that filling.

try adding one food a week that you didn't think you would like such as yogurt, a new fruit or veggie, nut, or other clean non--processed food in there instead of the crackers.

    hope this helps!

If you have time to do a lil exercise a run on the spot or a half hour walk you could earn yourself another 100 calories to put on top of your allowance to have something a bitbetter at tea time. If i feel my calories are getting low from what i'm eatting and i wont have enough for tea ( my fella likes to cook a big meal most evenings ) i will work it off. f you can't you could always ahve a jacket potato a small amount of butter and some side salad.

I too love my coffee creamer, I have replaced the typical liquid creamer with skim milk and flavored coffee syrups (sugar free and zero calories! This is a great replacement and I don't feel like I am missing anything. I agree with a big pot of crock pot soup, I made some tonight, with beans, vegi's, 1/2 broth, 1/2 water and some spices (check out my diary of food for the specific ingredients. But only 2 cups of this with some cantaloupe really filled me up I really should have skipped the grands biscuit it packed on a whopping 180 calories for just 1 biscuit. Yikes! I enjoy using this food log to check out things before I eat them, if I don't like what I see in calories/sugar/protein etc...I will delete it and pick something else. Keep plugging away!
  • Just a tip- eating something high in fiber or high in protein are the things that will keep you full longer. That being said, I need to adjust mine, because it does not allow me enough calories either.

ok, I also love the flavored coffee creamer but here's a tip: get a sealable container and mix half flavored and half regular creamer. Also, try to cut down the amt you use per cup. I normally used to use about 3 tsp/ cup. Now I use one. Is it the same? No. Can I live w/ it? Yes. Occassionally I will treat myself to the full 3 tsp and it feels like a trip to Starbucks :). Good luck
