First, let me start off that I am very competitive. I like to win. O.K. I know everybody likes to win, but I find that competition is fun. My gym just announced a Biggest Loser contest (I know it is a little chessy to take the idea from the show, but whatever) It is a 3 month contest starting this Saturday Jan 8th. They will be going by percentage of overall weight lost to make it fair. They will have a monthly winner and a overall winner for both men and women.

I figure I am on a pretty good pace right now and my body is so out of whack that I might have a pretty good chance. O.K. let me hear what I should do. I think it might be fun and I can use all the incentive I can find to keep it up the workouts.

I have taken place in the last few Biggest Loser competitions that the Community Center has in my area.
I think it's important to remind yourself that it's okay if you don't win.
And don't be too cocky with your "I'm going to win" attitude because that just fuels others to work harder. I found this out the hard way.

I encourage you to join it, especially if there is perks like classes, appointments with a trainer, weekly weigh ins, etc.

You should enter. My office failed miserably with that type of contest, but the gym contest should work just fine.

I am completely feeling your point. The last thing I am is cocky (too big to be cocky). You pointed out one of the biggest benifits for me. For the 3 months I get 20% off of anything at the club (personal trainer, classes, ect.) It only cost $10 to join the club.

I think I am going to do it.
