Nursing moms ?

Options
just wondering if any of the nursing moms out there are adding extra calories to the amount that mfp gives them ( there doesnt seem to be a setting for nursing moms on mfp that i could find) ?

Right now mfp is set to inactive lifestyle which is true, and then i add in any exercise i get .. should i add more calories for nursing as well ?

There is a setting in Food. Add it like you add food. It's "Breast feeding". I think. There are different kinds of settings. Also if you search "breastfeeding" there are other Posts on this. This is how I found it my self but I don;t use it anymore although I do still breast feed. Hope this helps.

I added it in through the food diary as well, but I don't anymore since I am nursing an older baby. I also ate back a portion of my exercise calories.

Yep just type breastfeeding into foods. I'm about to stop adding the extra calories myself although my 7 month old still exclusively breastfeeds. Once she start solids I won't need all those extra calories anyway.

I added it in as cardio (when I was nursing) so it would adjust macros properly.
