Fatigue after workout

Hello

I just started an exercise program a few days ago and I'm incredibly tired. I'm doing the 30 days shred 3 times a week and running for about half an hour 3 times a week with a program that helps you build endurance.

I wasn't exercising at all before this. But now, I'm feeling sooo tired all day long, I could sleep all day and I'm cold when everybody else says it's not cold.. Is it because I need to get used to moving again?

And yes I'm getting enough sleep, about 8 hours a night.

Welcome!

You are doing a lot, all of a sudden, considering you said you werent exercising at all before. Its your body rebelling against the positive changes! Give it time and it will adjust!! Jus make sure you are eating and drinking enough. Give it a couple weeks...If it stays the same or gets worse, see your Dr. and get bloodwork done, could be something, needs to be adjusted that way... ie. Iron, hormones, etc.

    Good Luck!

If you are new to this, then it sounds like you are just adapting to your new workout...
Give it some time, your stamina will increase.

Post workout make sure you get some carbs in you....that could help.

If you have only just started exercising (a few days ago) after doing nothing - I'd be more surprised if you WEREN'T tired. What did you expect?

It's called a WORKout, not a RESTout. Why wouldn't you be fatigued?

That said, I'm willing to bet cash money that you're not eating enough

Yes I'm starting to think that's the problem. I'll upp my calories and let my body get used to working out

Please please please go get a complete blood count. You sound like me two years ago and turns out I was quite anemic. There's a difference between a normal post-workout fatigue and what you're describing, plus the fact that you feel cold screams anemia to me. I had my first doctor completely blow me off saying I was just not adapting to working out. My second doctor actually listened and found the problem. You may have been borderline anemic before and the workouts are making it more pronounced. Go get checked.
