Is bad to over your protein even if you stay under on carbs, fats and total calories for the day?

Calories are what matter for weight loss. Macros (carbs, fat, protein) help with nutrition, satiation, and body composition. Protein helps to keep you feeling fuller and helps to retain your lean muscle mass. If you're using MFP's default numbers, their protein is set low anyway. I always suggest people try to go over it instead of trying to stay under it.0

No. The protein % here is basically a minimum. Unless you have kidney problems, you can't really get too much protein. More protein helps retain muscle while on a calorie deficit too. Around 1 g per lb lean body mass is a good number to shoot for, especially if your are physically active too.0
