Carbs vs Protein

Hey Folks,
I noticed, MFP recommends higher Carbs then Protein. I have been living a high Protein low Carb lifestyle for the past month and dropped 15lbs so far. My carb range has been under 50-60 and Protein about 100-110. Does anyone know why MPF recommends the reverse? Thanks!

Because most of the world eats this way......this is normal.
You don't "need" to eat low carb to lose weight. Diabetics and other people with medical issues should eat lower carb, or should at least manage their carbs.
I eat the way that I plan on eating to maintain a weight loss (as in forever). ......that's what lifestyle change is to me.0 -
You are free to adjust those percentages as you wish. I go with 40/30/30. If higher protein than carbs works for you, go for it. The generic MFP recommendations are based on a well-rounded, food-pyramid style diet.0
