Right track?

I'm 36, quit smoking in July and have been gradually becoming more active since January. I joined a gym 3.5 weeks ago but want to be sure I'm on the right track to weight loss. I do zumba 2x a week, a 1 hour strength training class 2xweek, and do machine cardio 3-4 x a week. I keep my heart rate between 130-140 on elliptical, bike, or brisk walk on treadmill. I just learned about eating back calories and started a food log this week. Am I on the right track or should I tweak things? Thanks
