What does a day of eating look like for you? If you could break it down for me to give me ideas, that'd be awesome. I'm completely new to macros, so there may be some tweaking eventually, but I just want to get an idea of what my portions should look like, etc. I really have no idea how I'm going to manage that much protein and that little fat. Lol. Thanks!

I generally follow the mfps macro settings which works for me! a lot of people will tell you to tweak the protein higher though... I tend to have pretty low fat days if you want to add me :) vegetables are really good for bulking without fat
  • I was trying to figure that out earlier but the app was being stupid. I'll have to try again. And thanks, I sent you a request! :)

I love high fat foods & am trying to increase my protein so I have mine set at 35% (127 gr) carbs, 45% (73 gr) fat & 20% (73 gr) protein. I believe the general guideline is .7 - 1 gr protein for 1 lb lean body mass (or 1gr for 1kg weight) and .35 gr of fat per body weight with the remainder filled in with carbs.

I'm doing 40/30/30...I eat a lot of healthy high fat foods b/c I'm a vegetarian and they are high in protein as well. I just finished my first week and although I've been over on my fat a few days I still lost 4 pounds. I find it really difficult to get enough protein and carbs. My diary is open if you want to look at it.

    I'm doing roughly 20 carbs / 40 protein / 40 fat.

That looks like more of what I've been doing and I have been losing weight. I found that the avocado oil I cook with has the most fat out of everything I typically eat lol.

ETA: Jk. I've been doing more 40c/40f/20p oops

    I do 30(fat)/30(protein)/40(carbs)

I make sure I eat 1g protein per pound of weight (I'm at maintenance) at the very least.

The target is pretty easy to hit though I sometimes use whey products to up my protein on workout days. I try and only eat good fats - nuts, avocado etc.

High protein breakfasts are awesome and I recently haven't even thought about lunch until 1pm.
