Awesome idea... I took some before pics and was horrified at what I really look like.. I started mfp at 294, lost 18 lbs in a bt 61 days but then due to the side effect of a new medication I was put on for my diabetes, I gained back 5.. now another med has been added for my diabetes that also aids in weight loss... I think I shall print out the pics I took for my before pics and Tape them to the wall by my computer...

So as I said I started at 294, my goal is 150 and total weight loss at this time is 13 lbs... with the new medication I am on I have been feeling either extremely tired and sick all week and my motivation is diminishing... I would love to have friends to help motivate me as well as me helping to motivate you... anyone who would like to add me pls feel free xoxo

I don't have before and after pics. I used to...but I don't know what happened to the before's. I was only 18-19 when I lost the weight, and I'm now 24 and it's still off! I went to my doctor because I had such severe anxiety issues. That appointment, I was scheduled a 6-month follow-up. At the follow up they were all dumbfounded...I was 60 pounds lighter already. Now, at the time, living in a small town with my parents, not having internet access, and having been dropped out of high school for a few years already, I didn't have the tools I needed to learn certain things about nutrition, fitness and weight loss in the beginning, but I think overall I did REALLY well!

I'm on here now to keep myself on the horse after gaining 20+ pounds while my wife was pregnant. Trying to cut down a few more pounds, and then start a bulk. It really is a lifestyle change, but I spent my time playing video games and sucking down Mountain Dew like it was my job (a lot of times staying up all night doing so) and now I can't even imagine living a life like that. I know how hard it is to be extremely overweight. I know how hard it is to lose that weight. I know how hard it is to maintain my weight...which means anyone who's going through somethng similar, whether in the beginning stages, middle or in maintenance, I'd love friend requests!

I hope this works! This picture is slightly outdated and I've lost a bit more since, but I'm currently down 141lbs with only 15 to goal! It absolutely CAN be done and as long as you're determined you WILL succeed. Good luck to everyone!

I am starting over AGAIN on my weight loss journey and I am looking for friends, motivation, and to know that others in my position have succeed. I am 340 lbs right now and need to be down to 150 or so. Please post some before and after pics of losing over 100 lbs and/ some tips on how I can actually get through this.

I don't know if this is helpful because I haven't faced a 100+ lb journey myself, but one thing that I am doing for my own journey is to make sure to break it up into smaller goals. Staring at a 190 lb road ahead of you must feel daunting, but remember that there will be successes along the way to keep you going. Research shows that a 10% reduction in weight (for a person who is currently overweight/obese) can have big health benefits. I haven't even hit 10% loss yet and I already FEEL the benefits of walking more, lifting some weights, and eating less. Setting small goals is a big part of losing weight. In a couple more weeks I will get to celebrate getting to 25% of my goal reached and I am SUPER excited to be a quarter of the way through.

Your milestones will depend on your personal goals, but be sure to set some smaller goals for yourself to keep you going! Some people celebrate 5-10 lb losses, others think in percentages, others chase personal milestones like "the weight I was when I met my husband..." The only type of goal I'd be wary of would be "the weight I was when I fit into a size ____" The only thing about that is to exercise caution because you can often fit clothes differently at the same weight -- on the way up you may have carried more weight in your belly and on the way down you carry more in your thighs or whatnot.

    Good luck!
