It's funny because mine is pretty much the exact flip-flop of yours:

Watch/Wristwatch/Stopwatch - I have zero need for this. If I am doing cardio, I simply do it until I am too tired to do anymore.

Blender Bottle - I don't even know what this is. I have a water bottle and I have a blender....

Stretching (Yoga does this for me) - I find that the floor, grass, or carpet allowes me to streach just fine.

Yoga Mat - Again, the floor works
Workout Music - Funny enough but, music distracts me unless I am running. At that point, I "call cadance" in my head at 160 BPM.

Apps - To me, the workout apps are the new "must have" it helps me track my food, weight, measurements, ect.
Tattoos - nope. Never had one. Never needed one.
    Supplements - Maybe some vitimans.

    In for utensils:

    - spatula (no one loves the lowly spatula but imagine trying to flip ANYTHING in the kitchen... yeah... you can clean up)
    - sporks... why are they not in use... its like the double whammy of utensils.

Uhh... motivation? Reminder of goals? Feeling like a f*cking badass because your tattoo is just too cool? Being able to show off your tattoo without being ashamed of your body? I don't even think tattoos are necessary, but all I had to do was think a little to come up with possible answers.

    Tier One:
Good music (cannot workout without my angry music)
And with that, noise cancelling headphones.
Water bottle w/built-in straw (AMAZING. I've never drank so much water in my life!)
    Good shoes
    Kitchen Scale

    Utensils:

Tongs (I make a lot of mexican food with tortillas and do a lot of grilling). Tongs are a must for either of those, or things just get messy and fingers get burnt.

    Food scale.

    French press.

Tier Three for me: My new mindset, Fitbit, MFP, HRM, my 15'x15' trampoline, and a picture of me at a normal weight.

@littlebutlean - great great advice! Making the Kitchen Scale plunge is a must.

@fatfreefrolic - Kettle bells... but I just was told it was a must have the other day... - think this is necessary tho for someone that doesn't have their own gym?

I have REALLY high arches, so I need lots of cushion for my tootsies. I can't do just normally cheapo shoes, otherwise my feet KILL me (and knees, and hips, and back). That's why they're a must for me. ^-^

I honestly think that good shoes are worth the investment. Good shoes prevent unnecessary injuries that can keep you from being able to work out, and they eliminate unnecessary pain that can demotivate, particularly when people are just starting out. They also help slow the wear on the pads of your feet and lessen the impact on joints -- there's a price to pay later if you don't take care of your joints now.

After a series of injuries, my doctor told me to go to a really good shoe store that had a variety of widths and the equipment to actually measure gait, weight distribution, etc. I went to a place in town that services both athletic customers and those with special medical needs, but a serious running shoe store that carries multiple brands often will have the right equipment. Places like that tend to be a little more expensive, but the analysis and personal consultation is included in the price of the shoe. And once you know what works for you, you can get subsequent pairs online for much cheaper. I bought my first pair of running shoes at the store as a courtesy and now buy online, usually directly from the manufacturer's website during sales. I know the brand, size, width, support structure, and the type of last that works for me, so replacing the running shoes every 350-500 miles (the typical good life of a running shoe) isn't too expensive, and I have been able to use the same info to purchase other sports and work shoes online without problem, too.

The right shoes can make a big difference in performance and stamina (and if you can spring for moisture-wicking socks, too, so much the better).
