Hey Y'all!
So I'm moving out on my own next week and will be starting college in the fall so I don't have a lot of money.
What are some healthy (and cheap) dinner recipes that you have tried and love?

One of the things that I like to do for breakfast and/or snack is fruit salad. I go out to Walmart (or wherever there are $1 cans of fruit) and pick out a few that I like. (I keep those in stock all the time) Usually, I get Mixed Fruit w/ 100% Juice, Mandarin Oranges (Light Syrup), and Pineapple Chunks w/ 100% Juice. You'll also need cool whip / whipping topping.
1. Have at least one 100% juice (I opt for as many as I can get, but you only need one). Pineapple works really well for this. Drain the juice from the can into a cup and set that aside.
2. Drain the juice / syrup from the rest of your fruit into the sink or wherever.
3. Mix all fruit into one container (preferably a storage container, as you won't eat this all at once)
4. Scoop out the serving you want into a bowl big enough to mix in (a cereal bowl works fine if you get 1/2 cup or a 1 cup.)
5. Spoon 2 TBSP of Cool whip into your EATING bowl.
6. Mix the cool whip and fruit together; add juice from the cup as necessary. More cool whip is OK too (I used 3 TBSP but that was too much, for me)
7. When you're pleased with the result, pour the rest of the juice into the container with the fruit, store that, and dig in to your salad!
