Yoga Mat

I need to buy a decent one. I had a cheap-o from Wal-Mart that didn't last long at all, and I want to get something better. Anyone have one they prefer that wasn't too expensive? I just don't want my hands sliding forward every time I do downward dog anymore. :flowerforyou:

    I bought the danska thin mat from walmart (I think around $15) in May and it has been great. I had the same problem with slidding all over my mat. I bought a "yoga towel" and it has been working great. I do hot yoga and that it where to towel works best (under sweaty or wet conditions). That was about $40 through my yoga center.

    Yes, that sounds like the one I had. They have a couple at Wal-Mart and I got the cheapest one cause I didn't think it mattered. But the cheap one allows you to slide around a lot, and when you do, it actually flattens out where your hands were after a while making it really slick...and then it just tears up after that. Mine lasted *maybe* half a year.

    I will try the more expensive one from Wal-Mart and see if that's better. I'll look into the yoga towel as well. Thanks!
