Veins

What do you think about veins that show through the skin due to being lean and pumped from exercise? Attractive or not?

I love being able to see my veins, forearm veins in particular, but someone close to me says that it looks gross.

Vascularity is cool. True measure of leaness.

I finally have my veins showing up my forearms and starting up my calves as well. I love it and have had many people compliment it as well. I am sure anyone who hates is just jelly.

Vascularity is awesome. I could never get the veins to show in my arms, but I have them now and they rock.

I'm not a fan, at least not on me, but I don't hate it either. Doesn't matter, I'll obviously have to put up with it since I already have veins popping in my forearms and I'm a good 4-5% BF higher than I want to be.

I don't really find it attractive on dudes...or women, for that matter. No offense.

When I first saw it in the gym I was not into it... Now, it is impressive to me... Seems to have grown on me a bit... Perhaps it is because I can now begin to see a little in my biceps when I work out... Just think about how excited your phlebotemist will be the next time he/she needs to draw blood for your next physical... It is a real pain for them to not be able to find a vein under all that fat tissue...

One of my forearms is quite veiny and it is very obvious after a workout or if I am dehydrated. I don't really love it, but figure it is a small price to pay for being muscular.

Finally got the cephalic vein to pop -- the long one that runs down the biceps.

Red Cross love it - they never have any problem finding a vein when I am donating blood.

Yep, I'm a phlebotomist, so veins are kinda my thing. People find it excessively weird when I compliment them, though.

    Reminds me of this:

My veins are all over my forearms and a big one in each bicep, now they're even showing up on my lower abs. Could not be more thrilled. Like above posters, they are badges of badassery.

If you don't have your veins showing much yet... just wait, when you are old they'll show much better, lol. Good sign of dehydration...

I keep telling my wife she needs to start lifting weights with me because she has an awful time getting blood drawn.

one of my side-reasons for slimming down is to really see my vascularity. I'm 50lbs overweight right now at least and I still have some visible veins in my forearms on over my bicep. I want to see what it looks like when I'm under 15% bodyfat.

meh, i've seen some fairly overweight people who still have visible viens in thier forearms.

popping out in your chest, or stomach, or shoulder, thats a good sign of leaness lol

I love seeing them on guys. I have them all over my arms now but I'm not sure how I feel about them on me.

My mom is a nurse and I've always been a regular blood donor... Those two things have given me a weird fascination with good veins. I take the time to envy people with good veins, but I don't think they make people more physically attractive.

Ive always been a bit veiny but more so now , a trainer mentioned how much id leaned out because of it . But i seriously just thought it was age related, definetly not dehydrated i drink alot of water and have very low sodium intake. And i saw where angie jolie wants to have hers reduced and shes a freaking skeleton so then i thought veiny wasnt a look id wanted. So i guess its more the why your veiny.

I suppose most people on this forum are biased in favor of them.
Its like asking people here if they like the look of muscle striations in the forearms, of course people who are into fitness love it but believe it or not there are a lot of people who do not like the look of muscle definition, usually people who have none themselves. People often seem to like the characteristics they possess themselves.

My appreciation of them is actually occupation related, rather than fitness related. If I'm not sticking a needle in them, I am much less concerned either way.
