Get abs without bulking other body parts?

I thought there is no way to spot reduce body fat. Therefore, the only way to get a nice abs is to work out full body, thus resulting in all muscles bulking. But then I came across this photo:

From what I can see, she doesn't have much muscles at all on her arms but a very nice abs, may be some muscles in her legs as well that I cannot tell very clearly. How is it possible?

I don't seem to get the question, sorry.

My gf has fairly nice legs and a decent mid section, however she doens't train chest/arms very much. = Nice legs/abs but no upper body...

have you seen those guys that are all buff but have no legs?.. they "bulked" but only trained certain parts..
you can't really spot reduce fat .. but you can discover that you have an area with decent muscle underneath when you do...?

You get abs by lowering your body fat. As an athlete, her body fat is likely around 19% or lower.

Everybody has abs with or without bulking. Visible abs tend to come from diet, not bulking. Lower body fat% will always expose abs.

You caught us. We've totally been trying to scam you guys. The truth is that all you have to do to get a flat stomach and abs is do a bunch of straight leg sit ups and maybe do one of those fitness walking dvds once or twice per week. I was wondering when someone would finally figure us out.

The jig is up, guys. They finally caught on to our plan to make all women into bulky bodybuilding types. Well played OP, well played.

    well hurry that *kitten* up.

This working out and dieting crap is old- and WAY to much work. I'm tired of it. Get on the magic whatever do-dadde you're trying to use and make us bulky over night.

LULZ- funny joke- I totally convinced a kid today at the gym I had a colostomy bag for my vagina that fell out every time I picked up a none pink weight. Not even going to lie- he thought I was serious. I'm ashamed for our future- but I was amused.

OP, having visible abs has nothing to do with bulking or the amount of muscle one has anywhere on their body. What needs to happen to make abs visible is to decrease body fat percentage low enough so the abs show through. The percentage at which the body will do this will varyt from person to person, and has more to do with body type and genetics than anything else.

She did not "make" the muscle on her abs while somehow managing not to make it on her arms.

She "revealed" the muscle on her abs by lowering her body fat. That is why she is not apparently muscular anywhere else. Muscle building is not necessary to "make" abs. They are only revealed.

I had a friend who does not logon anymore named RaychulJ who had amazing abs and she never did crunches. Wonder whatever happened to her? Wonder if she ever got sick of the mess created on these forums by the whims of some pushy insane broads on here? Nah, she was pretty, and fit, and a real nice person, and straightforward, and....uh oh...

Sorry Raychul this one's for you...actually this is for all the deacto's who just get tired of the BS from the same ole same ole tired ancient monsters.spilled-beer.jpg^^that's a LOT of beer.

But yeah, RachulJ had awesome abs from purely lowering her BF and nary a sit up ever.

Personally I'd go on a cut and see what type of abs you're working with, everyone is different so take a peek. On your next bulking cycle work with them to add more shape ... slow bulk to be able to keep an eye on them...

I know a lot of people who have done weighted ab excercises and when they cut they're very unhappy because they have very thick abs... (abs are like any other muscle btw...)

    TOTALLY this^.

FIRST see what your abs are like by cutting. You'll likely be pleased as punch with them once you can see them. Your waist will still be little and it's all win. If you "build" them first and then cut...you risk being thicker in the middle than you may want.

I think a lot has to do with your abs being active during many of your lifts... and obviously lowering down the BF%
