Slim Quick?

Has anyone tried slim quick or any other similar products? I don't want anything with too much caffeine (there's a caffeine free version of slim quick), but I want to lose weight quickly. I have gained weight since having my daughter and think it could come off pretty quickly if I had some help, and I could then maintain my pre-pregnancy weight on my own. Any advice is helpful!! Thanks!

Find out your TDEE and eat at a caloric deficit.

No product will really make that much of a difference unless ^^^^

No product works without calorie deficit. And you don't need to buy a product to do that. Just count your calories.

I'm not sure what slim quick is. Diet pills? Meal replacement shake?
Either way, eat less, exercise more. Win.

You want to "lose weight quickly"? How quickly are we talking, here? It is not recommended to lose more than 2 pounds a week. And why quickly? Where's the fire?

Are you aware that the faster weight comes off, the higher your chances of promptly putting it all right back on, and also of ending up with loose skin?

How quickly did you put on all your excess weight? Slower than 2 pounds a week, am I right? Then it's completely unreasonable and unfair to yourself to expect or hope for it to come off faster than you put it on. Be kind to yourself, and set goals that are actually attainable. Good luck.

You're still out of bubblegum huh, well I must agree ^

Supplements are there to make it a tiny bit easier but you can't depend on them to make you lose/gain anything. I drink whey protein when bulking up but that's only because its easier to chug down calories than it is to munch on them.... I add a "fat burner" to my diet when I'm cutting but only because my metabolism takes a bit to get started and that aids a bit.. I can't depends on the product to lose weight if I'm not eating how I should be though..

So I looked up slim fast and all slim fast is is a shake, which means all it is is food. So can you lose weight with slim fast? Yeah, sure...as long as you are at a caloric deficit. But same is true of any food. You may as well be asking if you can lose weight with chicken breast.

Honestly OP the best thing for you is the best thing for anyone else which is this. Start tracking your calories. Determine at what amount of calories you maintain your weight (you can estimate this with online calculators). Eat slightly less than this by about 10 to 20%. Couple this with some light exercise like going for regular walks.

That is it. Diet and exercise. It is free too.

Weight loss in excess of 1-2 lbs per week (unless extremely morbidly obese) usually means you are losing an inordinate amount of muscle mass to fat loss... Fat loss is good - Muscle loss should be minimized. A greater muscle mass enhances metabolism - plus, losing muscle mass leads to a Skinny Fat result where you are within normal limits of BMI (Body Mass Index) BUT still have a higher than optimum body fat percentage...

I've had a lot of friends have babies recently and those who have breast fed did seem to drop the weight much faster. I'm guessing there's a scientific reason for this however I'm tired and don't feel like googling :ohwell:

it takes calories to make milk, and if the baby is only getting it's calories from your milk, then you need more calories than you did when your were pregnant, since the baby is much bigger and still growing.

Message received about calorie deficit, which I already knew. Thanks to those of you who gave your opinion respectfully. I couldn't breastfeed, and now my child is 1, so that's out of the question.
