Take a shower, make my hair look nice, call a friend to complain - and then laugh about something. Or call to meet for coffee, lunch, somewhere healthy. Run errands. Anything to get my mind off of it!!
Take a walk, walks are very helpful to me. I forget that! Maybe I will walk today.
Good luck, if you have no one to call, let me know!0 -

I have these every so often. I listen to music I like, I get in the kitchen and whip up an awesome low calorie meal that i know will make me full and then i get on here and look at the progress I have made, and the progress others have made, and reassure myself that this is for the best and that I don't want to die at an early age because of a heart attack.
Everyone has bad days. Don't let the bad outway the good, and don't beat yourself up. If you screw up, get back on the wagon, and try harder!0 -

I go to Lowes or Home Depot. Something about smelling fresh lumber just makes me feel better. But I'm a weirdo.
I remember seeing a big on What Not To Wear or some show like that a while ago, where they told the person that there's no such thing as a "fat day," that you're the same person you were the day before, give or take a few ounces at most. You didn't change drastically overnight. It's just in your head. And if it's in your head, you can get it out of your head.
In addition to feeding my home improvement addictions, I like ultra bright red lipstick. It instantly perks me up, and makes me feel sexy and powerful.0 -
I think everyone has days when they feel low and ugly. I think there are 3 ways of trying to move on from it;
1. Recognise it as 'just a thought' we all have thousands, if not more, of thoughts a day. Some are intentional some, quite literally, just pop into your head and all of them only carry however much importance you assign to them. So if you think 'I feel frumpy' you can acknowledge you've thought it and dismiss it as ONLY a thought. Not everything we think is true or important. This takes practice but can be a very powerful technique.
2. I understand the above can be difficult so instead you can try to understand WHY you feel that way. Does a particular outfit cause those feelings if so get rid of it, give it to a charity shop. Is it after having a lazy day? If so make a point of doing something active. Is it from being around certain people? I can assure you we are all our biggest critics, you might not be happy with how you look today but I bet your friends don't see a fraction of the flaws you do. If you have some photos where you are happy with how you look, put those in an album and make a point of looking at them.
3. Pamper yourself a bit, run yourself a nice bath and relax with a facemask, paint your nails, try a new make up style, go to the hairdressers or for a massage. Basically put a bit of time into making yourself feel a little happier.
I hope this helps and you feel less low soon0
