Which level of activity level for me?

I am a sahm, I have older children and a toddler who is 18 months old. I work out most days usually about 30 minutes and if the weather permits a brisk walk for 20 minutes in the evening.

Although I don't go out to work I am pretty much on my feet all day with household chores, cooking cleaning laundry ironing and then My toddler too.

What should my activity level be set to? I thought I was very active but now I am not sure after reading a few posts here.

probably moderately active if you are on your feet all day. very active would be more along the lines of someone who works on a construction site constantly heavy lifting, like a labourer for a mason for example, or someone on a farm slugging hay bails

Agreed. I work f/t and also a have 3 kids at home ranging from 3-14yrs. I have set myself as moderate even though im on my feet all day as a TA in secondary school.

There are four levels on MFP, Sedentary, lightly active, active and very active. So you suggest lightly active?

i think id go active, and dont log the 20 minutes that you go for a walk as exercise. that way if its too high the difference will be made up.

but these settings are estimations to begin with. they wont be 100% right no matter what the setting is, so set your goal however, then see how much you lose in say a month and adjust your goals from there

I'm currently wrestling over the same question. I'm a SAHM of 3 kids aged 6 and under, so I'm busy. I don't sit down much until the kids are in bed around 8pm, 30-60 minutes in the afternoon, dinnertime, and 20 minutes here and there in the car. I set my activity to active, but am wondering if I'm correct. I am running after kids, but it's not a bunch of lifting.
