Do you log your fresh raw veggies are do you count them as freebies? What about sweeteners?

I often eat what I have saved as a "recipe," made of about a cup of raw carrots, celery, and peppers. I can't even remember now how I calculated the calories, but I use that saved meal often. It's quite a small amount of calories. For a couple raw veggie pieces without dip, I don't bother.

I log EVERYTHING, with one singular exception. I put 3 drops of stevia liquid in my morning coffee. Pfft, not going to make any difference. But veggies, absolutely log them. I normally eat a large spinach and mixed veggie salad daily. If I didn't log the veggies, that could be anywhere from 50-100 calories or more (if I snack on carrot sticks, or bell peppers, those are significant calories, adding up to another 100-150 cals) not accounted for daily. That can be the difference between 1 lb/week or 1/2 lb/wk loss (or gain, if there's a lot of non-logs).

Thanks everybody: I have been logging everything that goes into my mouth, including my veggies. I was just wondering what everyone else was doing.

I log everything. Even a 3 calorie pickle! As PP said, things add up. Especially if you're eating a lot of any vegetable each day.

I may not be the ideal model of tracking in some ways (I don't weigh absolutely everything and I rely on my proven and excellent estimation abilities for some things) but I do log quantities of vegetables as correctly as I can. And you can see my progress (all since I started using MFP) in my ticker.
