My fiance has one of those big tubs of powder protein. Can I use that or do I need something different? I've never made a protein shake before, and would love to hear your recipes.

I would use the Powder Mix but add some fruit and some Flax seed to the shake. You will be sure to have good results. But I have a question, Are you trying to gain weight or some lean muscle?0

Honestly, you can mix it a number of different ways. You can just mix it straight with water, which is the lowest calorie way to do them, although you may not like the taste. I mix mine with Gatorade after my workouts. You can blend them with fruit and other things in a blender to make a nice tasting smoothie out of it. Really it's just about what you like and how you find is easiest to take them.0

I used to have a protein shake in the morning's for breakfast. Easy, Quick and kept me full till lunch. I usually used a flavored soy milk (Vanilla/strawberry) and threw in some flax seed and 2 scoops of protein.0

I like vanilla protein powder blended with fresh strawberries and ice. Berries are a low cal fruit that add a lot of flavour to bland protein mixes. If you want to use it as a meal replacement, add milk/yoghurt, banana, or other fruits and flavourings for thicker texture and more calories.0
