Hello to anyone who reads this. I am Katie, my nickname is Kat. I just wanted to write this to ask if anyone struggles with sticking with the calorie counting.
It seriously is SO SO hard for me to do. Probably just laziness but I feel so much better when I do this. One thing I have not done while being on MFP is community. I came here looking to find encouragement, advise, and just people who can relate. I am always encouraged when I read the success stories!
I have almost 40 more lbs i'd like to lose. I have actually lost a total of 98 lbs from my heaviest over 3 yrs ago. I did varioius things to lose that. I want to go the rest of the way but have been on this aweful plateau!
Well, here I am again and here I continue. Thanks for reading & God bless!

First off congrats on the weight loss so far! That's amazing and you should be very proud.
And yes, it is tough to stick with it. This is my 2nd time around so obviously I'm not that good at it either. I lost 30 the first time and gained 20 back so here I am. Add me and we can keep one another motivated!0 -
Kat-
I also think that counting calories is tough. I can't really do it, so I feel ya.
BUT- I monitor my weight instead, and I notice any fluctuations. If my weight goes up, I get pretty serious about my diet.
Congrats on what you've done. You have the knowledge, so just stay honest with yourself. The diary is great, but you know in your head when you've gone off-track.
Making a loaf of banana bread Sunday morning is a really bad idea. I did that this past weekend...but I can't beat myself up for the rest of the week just in order to meet a goal. I just need to think about it the next time I have a day off and there are 3 mushy bananas on the counter (today...I can hear them calling my name). So I won't make the same mistake again.
Good luck-0 -
Haha I know what you mean mmmmm......banana bread. I didn't realize how much sugar is in bananas!!! I had a large banana and and apple for morning snack today and after I logged my entries into app, I had already reached my sugar goal. In fact I had gone over it.
The diary really gets you to be aware of what you are putting in your body.0 -
Thanks so much for the encouragement everyone! i really appreciate it.0
