How many lbs to lose to reach specific body fat %

I know there are some mathematical equations out there to figure this out. But in order to find out how many pounds you need to lose to reach a certain body fat %, you need to know your LBM % (lean body mass).
I'm 5'8" 22 and male and I've lost 30 lbs so far (190 to 160) but my body fat still looks the same. It's still at least 25% or more. This is quite unsettling because my goal is to lose body fat and I haven't noticed a difference. My goal is to be no more than 15% body fat. Does that mean I may have to drop to as low as 130 lbs??
Does anyone know how much I should weigh in order to be 15% body fat, given the information above.

Hey OP. In my own personal experience when I decided to get fit as a 6' tall man I was rather shocked to see to get down to 15% bodyfat (which I eventually accomplished) I dropped down to 155 pounds at 6' tall.
What matters in your weight to fat to some degree is your frame. You can determine your frame by measuring your wrist and there are online calculators for frame size. I am personally very small framed which means that I am the opposite of big boned and weight quite lower than you might expect for someone of my size.
As for how many pounds you have to drop to get to 15% bodyfat you are correct that you would have to know your current bodyfat (or lean mass) in order to determine that and you don't provide that info so I cannot help you there. All i can say is that if you are small framed and not very muscular it is quite possible that you would have to drop as low as 130 pounds to get to 15% bodyfat.
If you click my profile the picture of my back which is my main profile image and the picture inside of my torso when I was at my thinest are both around 15% bodyfat which was when I was 155 pounds.0 -

Have you been doing strength training and getting in enough protien while losing this weight?
If not you may have lost some muscle mass...:frown:
If you are at 25% BF you will need to be about 141lbs to get to your BF goal of 15%.
You really need current BF% tho to figure that out.0
