Having trouble staying motivated :/

I'm 21 years old, and really want to lose some weight and get back to where I was back in high school. My parents don't really understand why I want to lose weight, and therefore aren't really that supportive. Plus, I don't have any friends near me that work out that often, and so I'm finding it really hard to stay motivated and accomplish my goals. Any advice?

Be motivated by your own goals and be motivated by yourself. You can't always lean on people, you deserve to be happy with you.0

Find like minded people either online or go to a yoga class, gym class etc! I added you so I hope I can help!0

It is rough when you don't feel as if you have support from the people closest to you- But it's important to remind yourself why you want to be healthier and use that to make decisions for yourself. You're right- it isn't as easy at first without other people around who have the same goals as you, however, those people aren't going to make it happen for you either.
I would stay active on this site if you feel the online support helps you and add supportive people who also stay active on here. Seeing people with similar struggles/diets/routines has been really helpful to me, even if they aren't physically there. Feel free to add me if you like! I love giving support! It's also super important to take mental notes on how certain things effect your health, so definitely log everything and be honest with yourself about how certain foods/exercises or lack there of is affecting you.
Sit down with your parents and clearly explain to them why you want to lose weight and how they can help if you haven't already. There's a chance that it may have little to no effect, but communication is key regardless. Go to the grocery store yourself and pick out good foods for yourself or go with them and help them pick things out. Maybe try to cook with them or for them, maybe this could end up bringing you all a little closer together.
Join a gym or take classes and make friends with the same goals as you. Zumba and Bootcamp classes are often offered at gyms without necessarily needing a membership, just at a higher price maybe. Take walks around the neighborhood or parks by yourself, with friends, or with your dog if you have one. If you're a student, I think often gyms are free to use if you're a student or at least cheap at most colleges. Register for a PE class, go on bike rides, etc. If you'd rather work out at home, try work out dvds or even classes on youtube. There are lots of videos available here:
