Hi there! Some of my fave dairy-free recipes come from www.ohsheglows.com You can try that site.0

Ive been dairy free since 1987. I do not have much trouble with it... but the cookbook I learned to cook from... Louise Haglers farm cookbook was already dairy free which means ive always had a resource to go to... Now I can usually adapt most recipes to be without dairy. Of course non dairy milk, cheese etc (daiya!) is an extra bonus.0

I'm honestly not dairy-free, but I do enjoy certain dairy alternatives as a part of my diet.
My vegan friends have introduced me to Cashew cheese, which is freaking amazing on pizzas or salads. I'm not a fan of nutritional yeast, but I'd take a nicely cultured cashew cheese over many dairy cheeses any day.
I'm trying to avoid cow dairy, because I think cows due to the nature of their size waste a lot of resources as a staple food. I'm partial to hemp or almond milk at home for the most part, and I buy goat's milk or sheep's milk ice cream and fat-free frozen yogurt when I can. I do eat plain greek yogurt, which comes from cow's milk, but when my income is higher I opt for goat's milk yogurts and kefir, available at most Russian markets here. So Delicious brand also makes a good coconut "yogurt" product which I eat and use in place of dairy (like yogurt or sour cream) in baking.
Coconut oil seems to replace butter pretty well in most recipes as a healthier alternative saturated fat.
There are tutorials online for how to make fatty coconut milk into a beautiful whipped cream, especially useful for holidays.
There are lots of vegan alternatives to ice cream, too. Store bought or homemade.
My household isn't partial to soy due to GMO and allergy objections, though I don't mind Pacific Natural Foods brand soy milks. Silk leaves a nasty after taste in my mouth, but it's available everywhere, and some people prefer it.0
