    I'm 27 apparently signed up to this a very very long time ago.

    Am serious about losing weight and I'm also looking forlike minded friends on mfp

    I've also taken on a promise to myself of Atleast 1 months sobriety. So anyone thinking or doing the same feel free to add for extra support.

    I'm 25:) I used to weigh 320lbs and got all the way down to 142 @ a height of 5'9. It took me 4 years. I'm trying to maintain at 145 but it's been hard. I workout and walk a lot but also have Binge Eating Disorder so my weight fluctuates between 145-150. I'm trying to get down to 145 again. I'm tired of gaining water weight and looking bloated all the time!

    Hi All -

    I'm 28 and looking to start my weight loss (yet again). My husband and I are hoping to have kids in a few years and I'd like to be thin for a while before I get pregnant! Additionally, being overweight has a huge effect on my mood and confidence. I also struggle with back, neck and hip pain that I am sure will get better with weight loss. There are some days when I feel like I'm in my 50s because of my weight! How awful!

    My plan is to take it slowly and try to actually eat good, healthy food rather than fad dieting. I am lucky because I actually LOVE salads, fruits, and veggies. What got me to my weight is that I also love crackers and chips and empty calories! I plan on eating a lot of salads. I just got a vitamix blender so smoothies are part of my plan, too. Anyone else have one and have a recipe they recommend? I've posted a recipe below that I had for lunch today and has kept me full all afternoon.

    I'm finding MFP to be a bit annoying having to log everything. I mean, when you make a salad do you really measure out 2 cups of spinach - don't most people just grab a handful. Anyone else feel this way?

    Oh well - I guess it's the fact that I haven't paid close enough attention to my food that got me here in the first place! Maybe as I log more foods (and lose weight!), the tediousness will get easier!

    I really have about 35 lbs to lose but I'm starting off with a goal of only 7 lbs (or 5% of my weight). If I don't go insane doing that, then I'll up the goal.

    Recipe of the day
    Strawberry Banana Plus smoothie (338 calories/serving)
    Makes about 20 ounces

    1 cup frozen strawberries (50 cal)
    1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks (40 cal)
    1/2 cup frozen mango chunks (60 cal)
    1 banana (can be very ripe) (110 cal)
    1/8 cup dry, uncooked oatmeal - the instant kind is fine (38 cal)
    1 cup almond milk (40 calories)

    Today's weight: 140.2 lbs
    Exercise: yep! just over 4 mile walk with the dog
