I am 5'1" and 126lbs- I have been counting calories and staying under my deficit but only lost 1/2lb this whole week!!! I am so frustrated because i am so short and my calorie content has to be so low but still not losing...my goal weight is 105 which is where I am the healthiest and I am getting really discouraged...does anyone have same body type and have any advice as far as approach (calorie count) what works best?

.5 lbs is pretty good when you only weigh 126 lbs to begin with. just keep trucking0

For being that light, 0.5 lb is pretty good. 105 lbs seems a bit light to me. What is your body fat %? I ask because I don't want to see you get underweight and not feel well. If 105 is appropriate for your body composition, really focus on the quality of foods that you are eating. Not all foods are created equal. Also, how are you exercising?

and how are your clothes fitting- that's what I go by, NOT the scale!0 -
I do not know my body fat % but it is not good! lol!! I can tell you that!
I am exercising about 3-4 times a week- sometimes brisk walking and then sometimes interval running- I have IT band pain so I have to be careful! Between that and having a 2 and 4 year old it makes it difficult!
Maybe it is the quality of the food- I am just making sure my calories are good - not really focusing on what those are as much- but in doing that the portion sizes are less as well so you would think that it would help?
I have been at 105-107 and felt great- especially since I am so short I don't look like I am too tiny or unhealthy- or feel unhealthy- I am in my 30's and I am not obsessed about being "skinny" I just want to feel better in my own skin- I feel awful!!!
To answer the clothes thing- my clothes are tight! Yep and I just feel horrible!!0 -
I'm 5'2" and 127 right now. I only lost 0.3 last week, but I'm still considering it a win. When I was in the high 140s, it wasn't anything for me to lose 1.5 lbs+ in a week. Weight loss slows as you get closer to your goal.
One thing I'd be interested in... do you know your body fat %? What is your target? That's a better metric rather than lbs. I'm at around 27% BF looking to get around 18-20%. That means my lean mass is 93lbs, so 105 would be a BF% of 11%, which is pretty dangerously low. That's why my target is 115lbs but I'm doing strength training to get there.
You may want to incorporate more weight training. I just had the weight training > hours on the treadmill epiphany a week or so ago and now I see women jogging along for 1+ hours and it looks ridiculous. Even though I haven't lost weight at the rate I have in the past, I'm noticing the "jiggly" is going away which is really what I wanted in the first place.0 -

This isn't perfect, but it's a start:

There are also a lot of pictures online which show women at different body fat levels. I calculated mine and some put me at 24%, some put me at 31%... but from a visual check I can tell I'm somewhere in between.0 -

Does not compute. Progress is progress. You are losing and .5 is a very reasonable loss in a week for someone your size.0
