T25 Plank alternative?

I'm on Day 3 of Alpha (total body circuit) and we are starting to get into a lot of planking. My wrist has been acting up and it's really painful to put my wrist in the plank or push up position. Does anyone have an alternative exercise I can do while they are doing the planking stuff? So far I've just been sprinting in place or doing lunges but it's not really working my arms at all.

Can you do planks on your elbows rather than your wrists? I'm not familiar with the T25 plan, but that would be a good alternative.

Oh that's a good idea I can try that out for my workout tomorrow.

Have you seen Tanya's low-impact exercise instead of burpees? They're kind of like standing supermans (you can raise your back leg for added core work). In Alpha Total Body Circuit, she does some other alternative exercises while the rest of the group is doing floor work. I'd suggest checking out those exercises and subbing those if your wrist is bothering you. P.S. Not sure if you've done this workout much before, but it's really high impact and can be hard on knees/joints. I made it through about 7 weeks before needing a break. Now I just do T25 workouts intermittently.

High impact isn't the problem I just have a desk job and sometimes my carpal tunnel acts up and I have to rest my left wrist for a week or two. Even though I'm overweight I haven't had joint problems yet (crossing my fingers!)
