When I do my workout I take a shower pretty much soon after but some days in the lat afternoon I feel like doing some exercising but I don't because Ai don't want to wash my hair twice in a day.

What do you girls do if working out twice a day? I suppose I could do something not getting me really sweaty and only shower neck down but I am not sure what I could do so I am not sweaty so much.

If I don't have time to wash my hair, I use dry shampoo and a light amount of spray leave-in conditioner. I have no problems throwing my hair into a messy bun and going to work with wet hair, but I did this a lot when the weather got really cold around here. The dry shampoo kept my hair from looking greasy and the leave in conditioner isn't really necessary -it just smells nice!

I wash and hand scrub if I have to shower twice- if I really worked up a sweat and or was touching things- gym floor- dance floor etc etc- I always use soap- I typically only use conditioner for my hair- and only use it 2-3 times a week.

I just go back to work soaked in dried sweat. Meh, no time to shower - barely time to work out!

I wash my hair only 3 times a week and put it in a bun when I shower if I don't want it wet. Dry shampoo is your friend.

I pull my hair back in a head wrap while working out that way my hair doesn't get all sweaty. Then I leave it up while I shower. Hair doesn't get wet and my body gets clean.

I shower each time and I wash my hair each time. My hair spends 90% of its life in a damp bun so it's no problem for me. If I don't do this, my greasy genetics rear it's ugly head and I'll be able to moisturize the population of the Gobi desert within twelve hours off the top of my head.

I just don't shower between workouts- keep hair up during workout and dry off really well, I particularly like using the cool blast setting on the hair dryer. Don't have a smell issue, and once I'm no longer physically sweaty, I feel fine.
I rinse off after second workout, but only wash hair two or three times a week- otherwise it gets dry and brittle.

I also suggest dry shampoo. :) If your hair is long, it helps to put it up. The roots are the only part that get a little sweaty anyway, not all of the hair. I use a shower cap to make my washes last longer.

    Hope that helps! :)

Not sure why one would need 2 workouts in a day (unless you are training for something)... In that case, I would suggest showering twice and if you don't want to wash hair twice, use a shower cap. The second workout usually is not necessary and may even be counterproductive unless you are separating resistance/flexibility training from cardio.

If I want to workout twice I will have a wash down with a soapy cloth..done quick and washed/dried in a few minutes. My hair doesnt get sweaty when I tie it up so just chuck it in a high ponytail/bun and wash it every 2 days.I will only workout twice if I feel like the first workout wasnt "good enough" for me and I need to do more

this! i wash my hair every other day, or less, so i just get a wash if i am sweaty after a workout and leave my hair!

dry shampoo might help if you get a sweaty/greasy scalp.

My hair is styled and I sweat like a mutha when I work out, so it's two showers a day for me anyway! Investment of time but I feel way better than I would all sweaty and gross! (However, I have been told that I'm overly hygenic, and I work with people who skip days...)

I bathe or shower once or twice a day pretty routinely anyway, but I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I have fragile hair that doesn't tolerate shampoo or conditioner that frequently. I will put a little rose water at the roots if needed, but I don't stress the hair. If I do outside cardio and sweat, it gets rinsed at least.

I will admit that on the weekend, I will leave the gym after a big lifting session and head straight to the chinese buffet with the family. Meh.

If I work out a second time in the afternoon, it's after work, so I'm just going to be at home after, hanging out. I'll wash my face after and keep my hair in a ponytail. I don't go to a gym, though. I don't see another living soul other than my husband on weeknights.

If I were going out after workout #2, I would shower a second time and shampoo like normal. I have very fine, fair hair that shows all sweat. The only time I trust dry shampoo to get the job done is if showered in the morning, had a long day at work, then we want to go to happy hour. I will spray my roots with dry shampoo just to get the day's grime out/get some extra volume. THAT is how greasy my hair can be haha.

I usually workout in the evening but I shower before work in the morning. I don't wash my hair in the evenings but I will rinse it and if I wear it in a ponytail during my runs and it's tangled then I'll just use conditioner.
  • I don't wash my hair every day. Surprisingly, if you stop washing it every day, it'll stop getting super greasy... Even after sweating from a workout.

sweaty girls are sexy, stinky girls are icky

I too sweat twice a day. When I get to the office, after ride or run, I take a bird bath in the sink, and change my clothes.

I have deodorant and body spray in my office.

I burn 2 pairs of socks per day. On Sundays when I bring my food, I bring clothes for the week, and take the dirties home.

    IIIIIIIIII

    hahaha

On the rare occasion that I work up a sweat twice a day (:embarassed: ), I wash my body and hair both times. I cannot go to bed feeling dirty! Unless you plan on changing your pillow case every day, I would recommend at least rinsing your hair out, and using conditioner to keep it from drying out

I only skip days when I don't have workouts. So Thursday night is one of my one true OFF days- I typically won't shower- Sunday is hit or miss and it also depends on how bloody hot it is- my living room is insanely hot so Sunday if I"m working on my sewing projects- I will be sweating- and then I shower anyway.

My BF is a MUST shower every day kind of person- workout or not.

    Different strokes.

    This.

And in the summer, it's not unusual to shower more than 2 times in one day, even if I don't work out. But that doesn't necessarily mean I have to get my hair wet and go to the pain of styling it every time I need to feel my body clean. On a side note, I found out that washing my hair every day (I used to do this up until a few years ago) was not the healthiest thing I could do to it. Now that I don't, it looks shiny and healthy and it doesn't give me half the trouble it used to compared to when I washed it every day.

Lol this thread is making me feel sort of bad because I only wash my hair 2-3x per WEEK. I have super long, super thick hair and used to wash sometimes twice daily because I had really greasy tendencies. Surprisingly, if you STOP washing your hair all the time, the grease problems will go away. It also saves your hair so much damage from blowdrying/heat styling etc. It's a rough week or two in the transition but I'd say well worth it!! I used to spend 30 mins/day just DRYING my hair let alone styling! Forget that - life is too short!

And for the record, I've tried them all and Not Your Mother's makes the best dry shampoo... and cheap!
