Oh, I'll have to second the avocado. Avocado AND bacon :) You could just have avocado and bacon, actually, and skip the toast. I definitely had that for a snack the other day and it was amazingly delicious.

    Processed cheese triangles.
Easier to track, more flavourful, more varied and contains a little calcium and proteins besides the fat.

coconut oil is the only thing i use now

Try the butter, its to die for on toasted bread or even banana bread.. A bit expensive, but what is not expensive these days.
i put cocunut oil on toast already. I use this...

Dump the margarine (and toast), keep the butter. Butter is healthy.

I Can't Believe its Not Butter (spray)

zero calories, zero fat, all the taste IMO
It's not zero calorie, it's less than 5 calories, so they can put 0 on the label legally. And it's per spray. I doubt many people eat one single spray.

ETA: I'd keep the butter, it's plenty healthy.

Eat real butter. The good kind. Kerrygold is the best.

Or try coconut oil. That's yummy.

I'd eat less of it or fit it into my calories for the day. Seriously... you're running SO CLOSE to your calorie margin that you can't put a little on your toast?? Good grief.

Never stop eating butter, just don't slather a whole stick on the toast.

Margarine is NASTY - isn't that stuff like 2 molecules away from being plastic?

Avocado, mashed with salt & pepper (I use Trader Joe's lemon pepper). Sooo much more delicious on toast than butter, plus fiber.

Wow, I didn't expect so many responses! These ideas sound great, thank you everyone. I'm excited to try the coconut oil.

A couple of users suggested avocado, and I completely agree. Avocado on toast is one of my favourite foods. I'd eat it for every meal if I could haha.

Did anyone say LAUGHING COW CHEESE yet? YUM, gets you some protein and it is delicious.

I add my voice to the chorus of butter supporters though. I LOVE Kerrygold in a way that I think may be illegal in several states.

oh, really? I was not aware... Well, even if it is 5 cals per spray, you dont need a lot. It will make your toast soggy if you use too much spray

Just curious, how do you know its less than 5 calories?
