So yeah I just emptied a bag of spinach out to make a salad & there was a big fat dead bug in it! I'm just glad I noticed it before I ate it

True, but I like my protein from other sources.

I grew up eating home cooked veggies, and watched my mum drown greenfly and blackfly off various salad veggies in the sink before serving them. So this is another vote for "extra protein"

having said that, it would depend on the kind of insect... if it was something that you'd find on a farm then fine... but if it was a cockroach then I'd be concerned that it came from the factory that packaged it rather than the farm, and I'd complain. Oh and I hate cockroaches, especially the humungous ones that you find here in the Gulf, which fly and are almost indestructable and take a lot of effort to kill.

What more proof do you need that no harmful pesticides were used?
