I am insatiable... (women)

I just started my period, (didn't have it for months because of stress), and I now feel like I am wasting away when I eat what MFP tells me to. I know I am getting enough food, because calories-wise I am, but I keep getting that gnawing hunger. I have doubled my water intake, trying to keep from eating when it would go over my caloric goals, but it really isn't working. I am hoping for a short cycle, haha, so I won't feel like this anymore.

Is this normal? :D

Add more protein to your diet, makes a big difference and keeps you feeling fuller longer.

You're eating the calories, but they aren't working for you. You need more bang for your buck big time. Lots of carbs and sugars going on there. I would cut back on the fruit and TOTALLY get rid of the fruit juice...those are empty calories. Fit a lot more protein and veg in there and you will be more full...and it will cut back on the cravings. Fruit chews, potato chips....that stuff isn't going to fill you. Give it a shot! :-)

Happens to me too... darn hormones...

I concur, try upping protein. I find that nuts help keep me full longer as long as I am careful to keep within my calorie limit.. HOWEVER.... I do occasionally go over my calorie limit when I am on TOM and I don't beat myself up for it.... I get right back on track the next day.

Your diary shows 1000 calories under yesterday... I'd be starving too.

    And yes, more protein.

But it happens to me too...

Your fiber is really very low. You need to eat foods with more fiber as well as protein.

I just pretty much eat what I want, within some reason, for 2 days a month. I also take rest days from working out. I bounce back quicker and feel better than when I try to deprive myself. I will add that taking a multi vitamin during my period does help reduce the worst of the cravings.
