Marinades

I tend to make most of my food from scratch and I'm kind of at a loss as to how I'm supposed to input data about marinades. I'm not ingesting most of the marinade, so how do I know how many calories seeped into the meat?

It may be a bit of a pain but weigh raw/dry, then weigh after marinating?

I had asked this before, and it was suggested to figure out the fat/carbs/cals, etc of the amount you put on, measure the marinade prior, then after you take the meat out. Adjust accordingly. I don't know if that would actually work though, as you have no idea what was exactly absorbed.

This is exactly my question!!! I just baked sea scallops in butter and I have no idea what to log. I think I'm going to have to guess. :ohwell:
